Kids Program

Kids Activities at the Ranch

Kids of all ages will feel right at home here at the ranch. Give them a cowboy hat and a pair of cowboy boots and you are well on your way to having a cowboy or cowgirl in the family.

Kids Riding Program

The kids riding program all starts with the horse. The very best of our horses are known as kids horses, and are assigned to our youngest cowboys and cowgirls to be their companion through the week. These horses have all been with the ranch for many years and have earned our trust to take good care of their new riders.

While families always have the option of riding together, we also offer a full kids riding program. Kids rides are organized based on age and ability. The kids rides often find more interesting adventures than the typical ride. Riding out and building forts, catching frogs, or gold panning are just some of the places a kids ride might end up.

Good, Old-Fashioned Fun

The ranch offers wide, open spaces for your kids to be kids. They can catch frogs, go horseback riding, or cook marshmallows over an open fire. The ranch petting zoo gives them the opportunity to feed the sheep and gather eggs from the chickens – things perhaps their grandparents did when they were younger.

With so many new things to experience, a ranch vacation is a great way for kids to learn about nature and animals while having plain, old-fashioned fun. Our program is designed to keep kids of all ages busy all day long and well into the night. Parents often comment on their surprise at how well all of the kids get along and how busy they are here at the ranch.

Family Adventures

Our program is designed to give families options here at Three Bars. Families are welcome to stick together or split up, depending on interest and abilities within the family. Typically families will find a balance between family time and finding time for themselves.

We are small enough to accommodate custom vacation experiences and want everyone to feel included.
