Suggested Flying and Driving Itireraries

Based out of the Cranbrook Airport

If time is a restriction, we suggest that you fly directly into Cranbrook airport and we will pick you up at the Cranbrook Airport and transfer you free of charge to Three Bars Guest Ranch. Three Bars is 15 minutes from the Cranbrook airport, there is no need for you to have a car rental while you are staying at the ranch.

Based out of Calgary, Alberta Airport

The drive directly from the Calgary airport to Three Bars Guest Ranch is four and half to five hours. There are daily flights from Calgary to the Cranbrook Airport. When time allows Calgary is a great airport to base your fly and drive out of. The drive from Calgary to the ranch you have to routes two choose from. The northern route takes you to Banff and Lake Louise parks. These national parks are vast and beautiful with a host of things to do from sightseeing, golf to hiking. Accommodations in the park range from cabins to the Banff Springs Hotel which rivals the fine hotels of the world. The southern route takes you down highway 22 known as the cowboy trail, this drive is via the ranch country of Alberta known for its rolling grasslands and vast cattle ranches.

Points of interest along this route include the Frank Slide and the Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump (Native American culture center). Our guests often choose to do this as a circle tour taking the southern route down and the northern route on the return trip to the airport.

Based out of Spokane, Washington Airport

The most direct drive from Spokane international airport to Three Bars Guest Ranch is four hours. The suggested drive is via Coeur d'Alene and Sandpoint known as the Lake Country to the ranch. The extended itinerary is to travel to the Okanagan and the wine and orchard area of British Columbia.

Based our of Kalispell, Montana Airport

The drive directly from Kalispell to Three Bars Guest Ranch is two and one half hours. Kalispell airport also known as Glacier Park international is the gateway to Glacier National park. The Canadian side of this park is known as Waterton. You can drive via the park from Montana into Canada. This is a breathtaking drive. The drive from Waterton to the ranch is 3 hours.

Based out of Vancouver, British Columbia

The drive from the Vancouver airport is about 10 hours to Three Bars Guest Ranch. There are daily flights from Vancouver directly to Cranbrook Airport. Travelers driving from Vancouver have two options; the northern option will take you to the central grasslands of British Columbia via Kamloops then to Revelstoke and the Canadian Glacier park. The southern route you will travel via the Okanagan and the vineyard and orchard country of British Columbia.
